That's a nice little flock of chickens.Haven’t been on in a while. Babysitting duties have increased & some in laws have had healt problems. Forgot what a valuable source of information you all are. My 5 bantam girls & 3 silkie girls are doing great. Eggs for us, family & neighbors.

So sorry to hear about your losses. That heat is hard on them. Glad to hear you are doing okay.I been busy with my Salmon Faverolles and one Americauna. Had two roosters lost one due to the Texas Summer heat. Had one egg bound chicken this year and saved her from dying. Right now working on her again due to a wound. Would like to get another Blue Andalusian hen. Mine died last year due to old age and the Texas Summer heat. My chickens are molting will take pictures and post soon, but doing alright
Hello all!
Thanks for your friendly nudge.
We are doing fine, but 2 of our hens got eaten by a young fox during the day when they were in the garden... The fox is also so small and looks malnourished. Life is hard!
So we have got 2 very young hens (2 months old) to accompany the remaining one, but one of these young stopped eating few days ago, so we have started antibiotics and force feeding it under a vet's advice. Please wish her the best.

Glad to have you back and congratulations on your new babies! They're all very cute!Hi everyone,
Wowsers a lot of posts to this thread! Glad lots of you trekking along. I had a period of sadness with my little ladies all having gotten quickly wiped out by fox early last year…and had to take a break. Still consider myself junior chicken owner…just recently got another batch and building a pen for our coop. Here’s our story..
