That is good news!Silky is fine. It seems that the alcohol pad had no effect on her. I believe that it is because she didn’t get to eat it. So I can relax. And thank you for your sympathies.

Hi, all!We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.
If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to.
(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)
Thanks for checking in. These folks are very welcoming, and can help with broody issues.Hi and thanks for the reminder! We've been super busy, traveling and of course "chickening" with our 9 hens. I'm actually about to post a question about one of my hens who is very aggressively protecting phantom chicks! She skipped being broody and thinks she has chicks but we have ZERO chicks. So she was running around all beefed up aggressively attacking and getting attacked in return. She's been in my laundry room in a crate for 3 days now with no signs of backing down.Funny that she's not aggressive towards me tho. Anyway, I am at my wits end and can't find anything like this in any of my chicken care books. Anyone ever have this before?
