Hi!
I haven’t logged in for a while, although I’ve read the occasional article/post. No breeding done this season (in Australia) as we’re building new runs due to running out of space and wanting better chicken accommodation.

Building a new run is always exciting.

I haven’t had chickens in 5 years now. Moved to a city and live in a condo. I would like to have my own budgies soon. If I ever own a property that allows chickens in the future I would start over again.

I’ve been away for ages, mainly due to my whole flock being either predated or lost to CRD. Oh and the red mite plague I’ve since had two kids, my ex partner come out as transgender, and a few other things that delayed me getting back into it. Anyway I’m gradually getting some birds back, I have no lofty ambitions as I did before, but I’m keen to have some fun and enjoy the hobby!

I’m still pretty busy with kids as my youngest is only 8 months, but I’m hoping the chickens will cheer us all up

I made a nice winter hen house for my small tiny chickens who can't handle winter. But now that is it starting to get warm again I will be building them a new coop. Namely, a green house for a coop in the next couple weeks.

so thats what I have been up to XD

Make sure the green house coop has plenty of ventilation
