I have a BIG Black Australorp cockerel, named Fleckerel(it's a ballroom dance step that he looked like he was doing a lot when he was a hyperspastic chick.
. He thinks it necessary to bite my VULNERABLE INNER ELBOW when he wants to be picked up. He just stands there and bites me once, and then clucks softly looking at me trying to be appealing.
It seriously hurts at times...but it works.
I've never had a chicken go for my eye...but my duck, Truffle, did. I was letting my ducks nibble on my hair like they love to, and for some reason Truffle took an interest in my eye. I saw a big gaping duck bill heading straight towards my eye and *bam* ...it ended up bouncing off of my browbone/cheek.
