What can I do with Cherries....

We are going to pick some now! I think we'll have too many to just eat.

I was hoping for something along the lines of an apple butter type thing..
would a pie filling be along those lines?

I just want to save some, as we'll never eat em all I'm sure!!

If anyone lived close I'd give you some for sure. We're going to my husbands grandfathers brothers house, he said he's too old to pick them all - so we're picking for him and us.

My kids LOVE cherry jam. We make it every summer. I also pit them and freeze them in their juice. You can do anything with them that way.

Fresh cherries are wonderful if you sugar them a bit and then use for homemade ice cream.

Cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream!

Cherries and peaches make an awesome pie/cobbler also plain served over a slice of pound cake with some whipped cream.

I think I will sugar them a little - we have a bucket full and some are a little tart.

I've never eaten cherries like these! I like the slight tartness, but my kids don't!
