Chic bator The adventure Comeing now to a BYC thread near you!! We have viens!!

3 of 4 eggs so far, and the one not hatched had movement when I checked a few days ago so I'm still hopeful. These guys went due till tammrow anyways. So far its a better hatch rate then my little giants last hatch

Three chicks out of the 4 normal eggs. He was alive when I candled like two or so days ago so hopefully he is just waiting. I turned off the video cuase the condensation kept fogging it up and I wanted to move it closer to keep an eye on the little brown baby who has a rough navel. So 2 were shrink wrapped they pipped and started zipping befor I put the sponge and upped the humidity. So far the only thing that could be an issue with this little chick bator would be the humidity.Well and the fact that you can only squeeze 2 chicken eggs in there. These guys are on day 17 so they came a day early hopefully over night the 4th one will hatch. 75% is better then like the 30% I have as of now from the Little giant forced air . I had 40 eggs in there and so far only 11 babies have hatced from that one.

So far
Good Points for Chic bator
#1 Good price
#2 Should be easy as pie to clean take out the foil un screw the light bulb so that your left with just the 2 plastic bowl type pieces and you can scrub every nook and cranny unlike most incubators where you can clean the bottome but not fully the top as it has everything wired into it.
#3 Replacement parts will be cheap , new doller store 7 watt bulb if it goes out. Doller store aluminum foil for fresh heat reflectors. It would probly even be cheap to buy a replacement socket and/or cord.
#4 Small size means you can put it anywhere any time.

Bad points for chic bator
#1 Small size, you could only fit 1 duck or goose egg, 2 chicken 3 banty 6 quail
#2 No thermastat
#3 There are diffrent temps every 1/2 inch inside from cold around the outer edge , slightly low in the middle half circle and to hot agianst the wire, witch means you have to not only turn but rotate the eggs inward or outward to cause even heating
#4 Constantly haveing to watch it.

Yeah sorry I wanted to move them next to me so I could keep an eye on them they seem a little cold and the brown has a rough naval. They need to just lay close to the wire thats where the heat is about 100 or so . They just keep wobblying around.
