Chicalina's 2021 rainbow bantam mixed flock hatching thread

So, I removed 3 eggs which were infertile, including the one silkie egg. Now there are 10 and candling showed them all with a little wriggly tadpole inside! It's so cool to see the little twitches.

They are on day 14 now, so only a week to go!

I've also set another 10 eggs with my silkie/polish pullet. 5 Barnevelder and 5 Welsummer. They are shipped eggs and about half had mobile air sacs so I'm not overly hopeful on the hatch rate but we will see.

I'm hoping since they are all pure bred that any cockerels I get I will be able to sell.

1 chick is out!!!! Teeny tiny chick (they all will be)

First little one. No idea what breed it is yet. Hoping Sebright. I really want a silver sebright hen out of this hatch.
