I miss her sooo much :(

:hugs I know it's rough. I love mine like family too. Once again, so sorry you lost her too soon.
:hugs Thanks. No one back here understands. I've had close people die before and this doesn't hurt as much and it doesn't hurt as many people, but I still hurt. To everyone else it's just a chicken.

I agree. I can tell you a somewhat quick story that is related to what you are going through if you want.

Okay :hugs

Well, I was worried about the chickens when we left to Europe. "Everything is going to be okay".... the farm-sitter kept on telling me and everything. Anyways, when I was in Italy, I got a text saying "Sorry, your white chicken with the curly feathers had died. She was fine in the morning, she had died on the nestbox." It was Frindizzle, and I pretty much couldn't breathe.... it really hurt.

I went onto Facebook. People who didn't have chickens:

"Sorry about your chicken. Enjoy your trip!"
"Don't let it spoil your trip, have fun!"
"Sorry about your chicken."

I was pretty angry with them, they just didn't understand. I had loss my grandmother once.... it didn't hurt as much as this.

BYC? Different responses. (See Remembering Frindizzle)

I'll I'm saying is that I can relate, and I'm really sorry about Owl. Thanks for giving her a great life.

:hugs I'm so sorry about Frindizzle! I didn't know it happened while you were gone!! That must've been hard to lose her and not be there! They keep saying that it had to die sometime and that I should've expected that. It's just a chicken to them. Owl died when I was away too. She went missing from the friend's farm and my mom didn't tell me about it for three weeks. I had a concussion so I couldn't work there. It feels like my fault. She would go off on expeditions and I didn't ask for my friend to keep her locked up in the coop for a couple days. If I had won, she would've never been there in the first place. I feel like the worst owner ever :(
