if I am not mistaken QUIKCHIK is an electrolyte... this is good after stress/dehydration after shipping... I hope you are not meaning to say you have been using it all this time

Get your chicks off to a good start with Quik Chik. Put this combination of vitamins and electrolytes in the drinking water right from the first day. It will help overcome shipping stress, and vitamin shortage. One 4 oz. package takes care of about 200 chicks for 2 weeks. We can send the 4 oz. package in the corner of the box that your chicks are shipped in. Quik Chik is also good for ducks, geese, turkeys, pheasants, quail and partridge so be sure to have some waiting when these arrive. Sorry, but we can only ship the 4 oz. size of Quik Chik in the box with chicken orders. The 4 oz., 1 lb. and 3 lb. sizes can be ordered separately anytime.

I received a packet of Quik Chick along with my baby chicks in May 2004. It was my first experience with poultry so I followed the instructions carefully. I didn't lose a single one,and my chicks grew into big healthy hens who started laying eggs about a month earlier than expected. They are 2 1/2 years old now. They began to look a bit scruffy this fall, and I started them back on the Quik Chick to be sure they were getting enough vitamins. I was surprised to see how nicely my old girls shaped up- their feathers are glossier, they seem perkier, and even though it is January, they've started producing more eggs. I plan to keep them on Quik Chick permanently.

I was under the impression that this was like a vitamin supplement and could be given anytime and somehow I got two packets of it I haven't even finished one yet well almost but sometimes I don't get it put in
Are you thinking of the gro gel I used it once the day I got them

Chick was the same as yesteday eating and drinking this AM just a bit off balanced but tonight...............

Not sure what happened but my 4 1/2 yr old was involved and now we are back to where we were on monday with her not being able to stand up he says he stepped on her foot I have no idea what happened and may take her to vet in AM. Not happy with my child right now:(

Electrolytes should only be given when there is a reason to do so (dehydration (not drinking sufficently)/ heatstress/shock )
Giving electrolytes when it is not necessary can screw up their electrolyte balance!
If you are wanting a vitamin supplement (and I give a supplement weekly) then look for a supplement (and not a combination with an electrolyte) > roosterbooster has an "all-purpose" supplement (read the packaging carefully as they have several different supplements) but if you can possibly do so I reccomend AviaCharge 2000 (available only online for purchase from McMurry or Strombergs) It is complete balanced (all in the right ratio to each other) nutritional/vitamin/micro-nutrient supplement formulated for daily use and approved for organic certified.

LOL It was very late when I posted and somehow I saw the "quikchik" and thot we were talking about chiks.
Your birds may be needing/going into a molt?

Still no improvement since last night took her to the vet this AM she could not find any breaks or any thing that was painful. So she said to give her a couple days.

We came home and set up a 2'X2' roverclosure pen with top on and covered with cardboard so others don't poo on her. filled the bottoms of chick feeders with water and food. May not work may need to put her in mesh dog crate anyway, but thought it would be more comfortable for her on the bedding she is used to.
