Chick almost out of shell and abandoned.. what should I do?

Today about 4pm I found an egg that my hens stopped sitting on and its making noises. Its got some shell missing and has made another hole in the shell. I have it in a box and the temp is about 85 and humidity is 63. Still peeping what should I do? Its been like this for aprox 6 hours. Do I help it hatch or leave it a lone? Thank you, Julie

HELP PLEASE!! How long can a chick take to hatch and still be healthy? I'm worried that the chick has been in this situation for too long??

Did it make it through the night?

Make sure it doesn’t dry out, and keep it warm. Do you have it in an incubator? I think you might have to help it at this point, if it’s ready to hatch, because it’s probably weak.

Do you see blood or red veins still?

still peeping and basically only half the shell is on but the thin stuff is on still. i wiped it off its eye. and top of head. i noticed a little blood but its kinda dry. do i gentaly take the skin stuff off? membrane? thank you

legs are freed so it can move them its just got the back side laying in shell. can i leave it to get out by it slf? i think it is attached to shell at the bottom part of stomach ?

Yes you can gently try to remove the shell.

not in a incubator. i think its freed from the shell its just laying on it. no blood either just a few tiny blotches of red on it which wiped off.
