I have a barred rock hen that will be 5 months old tomarrow and she is blind. I have never had chickens before and only have 5. She is even a little bigger then the others. She knows where her food and water are i always put the feeders and water in the same place. My rooster has been picking on her lately. She cant see to run away and when she does she sometimes will run into stuff. All in all she is very healthy. Her name is Helen

if i had the tiem and resources to care for it i would but i dont and my chickens are both free range and some are in a run. it is one of my half buff orpington/rhode island reds so i know its not inbred. my incubator is a horse. it keeps great temperature but the humidity does get low sometimes if im not watching it closely. anyways that hasnt happened in a while so i guess i can chalk it up to oddity. the one deformity that happened last was a curled foot which i read was due to improper turning. i was able to rehab that one ill show ya the link how i learned how to do it. the other was a f****d up turkey that i tried hatching in my old gqf still air. i learned early on it wouldnt work for incubating (i use it for hatching out). anyways heres a pic. u can just imagine how freaked out i was
