Chick born with something sticking out of navel??

I have a quail chick who hatched with a tiny bit of what looks like intestine sticking out of its belly. It does not appear to be yolk sac. I tried to push it back in but the belly seems to have closed around the top so it won't go back in.

The chick seems otherwise healthy and active but the lump of flesh is still there after a couple of hours. I have left it alone in the incubator to isolate it.

The black spot on the lump in the pics is where the umbilical cord was attached.

Is there anything I can do and what are the chick's chances of survival?

I'm sorry about your little one.
Hard to know if that will heal and she will make it or if it will get infected, cause problems, etc.
I would apply some Bacitracin or Triple Antibiotic ointment to that. Try to keep the area as clean as you can. Use puppy pads in your brooder.

I wish I had better answers, but sometimes all you can do is wait and see what happens.
