Hello all.
I had rescued this chick about two months ago from an abandoned barn and we became attached very quickly. I've raised quite a few chickens over the years but this one is the first that has really enjoyed being held and "snuggling" and it broke my heart that she died when I was having her pet sitted for a couple days...
Our attachment could have likely been from the rescuing, however, I've never had a chicken of this breed before and was hoping someone could identify it for me so I could get another one day as it was also very beautiful ( at least to me)
Thanks

She looks like an Easter egger, or maybe an Easter egger crossed with another breed. Sorry you lost her. I will add that it's more about the individual and spending time with a chicken if you want it to be tame, than it is about breed. So if you got another just like her there is no guarantee it would have the same personality.

Thank you for all the kind replies. The legs did lead me to believe it was an Easter egger mix of some sort. She will be sorely missed .
