Chick Bump????

Just recently picked up a white comet chick about 2 weeks old,i have noticed a god sized bump on her back right in front of her/his tail feathers. Does anyone know what this might be? There are feathers growing out of the bump and it is Not discolored,just curious,hope its not anything to worry about.

I believe it's their oil gland.

Sounds as if you are describing the oil gland. If it's not swollen or irritated looking, I would not worry about it.
