Chick cant eat hes getting worse help?

he arrived yesterday and had yellowish poo caked to his butt ive been washing it regularly and yesterday he was eating,running around and drinking fine but when i got up today hewas on his back barely breathing. ive given him some water with an eye dropper and he drinks fine i also have given him a few drops of poly vi sol but nothing seems to be working he isnt eating today and i dont know what to do to help him

you might try putting a little cornsyrup in his water to get him some energy, and then make a gruel of the chick starter and see if he can get that down, just a few ideas, let us know how he is...

A little mollasses water (made like a weak tea)might help....use the eyedropper?

i used some of the corn syrup water and it seems to be helping a little but im still worried about him not being able to poo anyone have any ideas? and thanks everyone for the help i really appreciate it

well everyone i have some bad news.... despite all of my attempts to nurse him back to health and all of the help that everyone on here gave me my little guy just didnt make it

I am so sorry!! don't know if it helps, but in doing bird rehab, i was told that sometimes we are to give love and comfort, so they know they are loved in their last moments-
