I got some bantams last week, and a few of them had pasty butt. I cleaned them up, and all are fine now. Except one. This one also seemed to have a little blood below the vent. Like, dried up- I assumed from pecking, or maybe where the yolk sac was attached. Thats all healed up, and fine. Nobody bothers it. They are all eating medicated food. Everyone else's poops are normal. This one seems to have trouble going. Whatever does come out its very liquidy, and just sticks. The crop feels just like the other ones, so its not the shavings. Could it be constipated? What would I do? Should I separate it, and give it water with electrolytes? (what do I use for that?) I don't want to put it in the water supply for all the others, as they're all doing well- and I don't wanna mess with it! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I forgot to add, I sit there and watch- it is eating and drinking!

You might wanna try some plain Yogurt I did this and I also trimmed the feathers around the vent a lil to keep the poo from sticking to them and now he is fine and poop is normal now so I guess it was right but you also may want to give them grit. It may help.

Good luck to you.

Thanks, I've been sprinkling grit on their food, and I also have a little separate dish for it. I clipped the feathers after the 2nd day or so of cleaning the pasty bums. I had read someone on here did that, and so I tried it, and worked, and was surprisingly easy! The little chick in question I'm noticing won't put its bum down. It sleeps standing up! It leans forward, until it nods off, and kind of stays that way. I gave him some yogurt, I put it along his beak. He had a little but wasn't super interested. We shall see what happens.
