Chick/Chicken Feed Problem`

I am having a problem finding Grower feed. I have been to Dickey Bubs and Orscheln's and they go from selling chick starter/grower that is for the first 8 weeks to layers feed or a all-round poultry feed for all poultry. Any suggestions? Or can I give them the poultry feed until they hit 20 weeks? I will have to put my adult chickens on this until the chicks are of age but I do this every year. This is the first time I have had a problem finding grower feed. I guess they decided to save a little money and inventory and eliminate this middle feed.

I'm raising chicks for the first time so I don't have much to offer except that I've read not to give them layer feed until they are at the point of lay because it has too much calcium and can damage their systems...




I don't know what it is with me and run-on sentences today...

It's not a layers feed just an all round poultry feed for chickens, ducks etc. Yeah, I have been doing this for a number of years and know not to give them layers feed until they are older.
