Chick combs M or F with pictures.

So I know it’s hard to tell but I’m quite obsessed with always trying to guess before they grow up.
I have chicken mutts. some of them are mixed with Easter egger that’s all I know. So my question really is comb color. I have chicks I think are girls with pale pink combs and solid yellow combs.Then one dark pink comb and one red/yellow comb that I think are boys. they are 3-4 weeks

1 & 2 pink comb IMO females



3 dark pink comb IMO male



4 & 5 yellow comb IMO females




6 red comb IMO male


I never had chicks with yellow combs so this was new to me what do you guys think? Male or female

I honestly do not like "guessing" before 6 weeks. That being said, I'm betting that chicks 4 and 5 are your only possible pullets. Number 6 is a cockerel for sure.

It is way too early to be certain though. Post updated pics at 6 weeks.

Too young, repost pic at 6wks ... IMO #3 & #6 your possible cockerels, combs are more pronounced. Red combs can also mean they're hot/agitated.

The last one is a possible cockerel. Two out of the six look like very possible females, and the others I would wait a little longer.

I think they are 8 weeks now

unfortunately number 6 died so I don’t have an update on that one and I left out chick number 7 before because it was a bad chick pic but added him last because they are all bad pictures anyway. Sorry for the quality.

5 and seven are bantams that’s why they might look small.

So the first pics were taken whenever they were 3 to 4 weeks old? They're 8 weeks old currently and these are the new pictures? Sorry I'm confused. I worried that 5 weeks flashed before my eyes during a blink

I'm super confused as well.

In the new pics, chick 3 is your only cockerel. Is that the same chick as number 6 in your previous pics?

sorry for the time jump i wanted to post this when they were chicks but I forgot my password and I rememberd it yesterday and decided to do both so no one had to wait 4 weeks for them to grow up. I’ve been so confused for 8 weeks on their genders because of the weird comb color difference. I thought they were all boys at first then I thought they were all girls.
