I just picked up a flock of 8 chicks today. 2 Polish, 2 Welsummer, 2 Dominique, and 2 Easter Egger. I read a lot of info before purchasing, and they all seem mostly healthy and happy! One of the polish has been pooing clear yellow with pink stuff in it, seems pretty concerning, but she's been walking around and pecking with the rest of them. The polish is a little over 2 weeks old. Is there hope for my polish chick??

Are you feeding a medicated feed? What you are noticing may be stress related or may indicate the beginning of more serious problems. If they start with bloody feces, treat for coccidiosis.

I'm in Pittsburgh and just registered on BYC! Hello. Hope you have luck with your chicks. I'm researching my options now, too!

Thanks all for the well-wishes and advice! Wow, that was fast! I had them on non-medicated chick starter hoping I would be lucky enough to get away with it but bought medicated feed today. I also mixed poultry electrolytes into their water. Better safe than sorry. Little Polish is still active with the rest of them and has had some non pink poo, so it might be ok!
