Chick eye color

One of my Sapphire Gems has blue-grey eyes. I have never seen a blue eyed chicken! Do you think they will stay this way? So pretty! This is her come hither look.

Our chicks eyes ways turned black/dark, orange or yellow, although I've never raised sapphire gems

Like humans, chicks usually change eye color as they age

I hope they stay this color. I will watch and see as she grows!

Many chick breeds have blue, greyish eyes as chicks. As they mature they'll turn bay, orange, etc.

She’s beautiful!!!! My Sapphire Gem also had blue eyes! It’s so rare that this post was one of the only thing I could find online about them having blue eyes!!!
