chick feather sexing question

    ok i saw on a hatching video people sexing chickens by feathers on the wings, i know only certain breeds can be done like this, i have 3 black/blue copper marans chicks, 2 of them have the diferent lengths on the wing and the other has the same length, that would mean 2 hens and a rooster, i'm going to mark them and see if that is rings true, any input would be appreciated [​IMG]

    I thought feather sexing could only be done on 1 day olds?

    It can only be done at hatch, to my knowledge, and as you said, only on certain ones if they are bred for that trait.
