Chick gasping, panting and shaking it's head

Yesterday evening my last chick hatched but since a few hours he has been quite lethargic and panting, the last hour he has really worsened. I have checked everything, if he has pasty but, i gave him vitamins but nothing seems to work.

I think he has something stuck in his throat but i don't know what i should do.

Pls pls pls anybody have some tips?

Just gave him some oil and he seems a bit better, trying sugarwater next

Hi,

If you hatched these, you could put this one back in the incubator for another day.

If not....just making sure he's not panting because he's too hot too. Is that a heating pad of some sort so they wouldn't get overheated? If it's not, and there's a heat lamp above, be sure it's not too hot by putting a thermometer on the floor where he's at.

For weak chicks, I scramble a raw egg yolk and put a couple of drops of either Nutri-Drench or Poultry Cell, whichever, in there. Then using a small syringe or eyedropper, put a drop on the right side of their beak. Once that's swallowed, do another drop, up to four or five, and let it rest then. An hour or two later, same thing.

Since he was the last egg and our incubator isn't really designed to hold chicks for a longer period of time (too small + very slippery) i took him out after an hour, he was completely dry but not entirely fluffed yet, the problems started this noon, before that he seemed to be just fine.

Do you think he might of aspirated the fluids? I wouldn't know what to do in that case but that's what it sounds like to me. I hope he gets better soon.

If he/she did aspirate, you could try gently turning him upside down without restraining his head

Can you lay a bit of rubber shelf liner in there or even a paper towel and let him rest in there? Every time when I've had a weak chick, that and a few drops of nutrients brings them back within 24 hours.
