Do not put anything warm on a BURN. No warm compress; the above mentioned medicated salve already has anti inflammatory in it. You should never put anything warm on a burn.
 
Cool or room temp water when cleansing burned areas, and try not to disturb the tissue too much. Medicinal honey does wonders for burn wounds, or DermaGel. (Not sure where you’re located so not sure what’s available to you). :)
Hard to say how much damage has been done; it will take time to assess if any skin or tissue is going to slough off. (Hopefully not much!)
Animals are as bad as children, always getting into things or situations they shouldn’t. :)
 
Sorry about your chick and the freak accident. Silver sulfadiazine (Silvadene) cream is best for treating burns, but it may only be obtained with a prescription by your vet. Preventing infection is important. A soak in warm water and Dial soap 1-2 times a day and help clean the wounds. Then apply the silvadene or a similar antibiotic ointment.
