chick grit sand

i got some sand from my driveway, its got plenty of small rocks in it. i washed it out in a container until no wood came out floating, and when the water ran over it, it was clear. when this dries, can i give it to my chicks with treats?

As long as the grains are very small, it should be ok.

ya, theyre only about 1-2 millimeter big, that good?

I found out this last weekend that the sand in my pool filter is about the same size as the chick grit I bought. I dumped it in an area they frequent a lot and they have been using it ever since.
