That last picture with the circle of "face planted" babies around the heat lamp light is adorable.

They are SO cute at that point. Mine are almost 15 weeks old already and doing the adolescent molt thing. Feathers everywhere. I can't think of a stage I didn't like, though.

I would be hungry too if I did not eat for 2 days.

Remember I said I got too many chickens already, well I got a few more when my friends place an order for theirs. Now I will have way too many chickens in a month or so.

I dipped all their beaks in water when I first got them out of the box and then I sat them in the food dish. Everyone figured it out right away. They were pretty hungry.

OMG! How many are there? 50? How many are you keeping? So your friend did decide to buy now? Did you guys go with the Pivetts? What did they end up with? I see barred rock and EE? and what are the light brown ones? I thought I had my work cut out with the 16. YIKES!

I LOVE the way you improvise with the water container. Cool!

They are from Privett, thanks for letting me know about their special, they all seem to be doing ok. It is 50.Not sure how many I am keeping yet.

We got Barred Rock, New Hampshire, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Partridge Cochin, and Welsummer.

Aww so cute! And wow that is a lot! I got cornish rocks and wyandotte bantams, and Nancy got a bunch of brown egg layers.

I never have bantams before, how are their egg size compare to how much they eat relative to the regular chickens?
