Hi! I need advice for my rescue chick. My husband found it in the middle of traffic. I have been giving it a quarter cc of Tylan 50, Terramycin and vet RX daily. It showed signs of a respiratory issue at first but is no longer congested sounding. This is day 5 of Tylan

The eye is full of pus and you need to physically remove it...the pus.
Give me a couple of minutes to find a thread that has a similar issue and contains pictures of the person removing the pus.
Be right back.

Here you go.
Thread 'Nasty eye infection (pics)' https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/nasty-eye-infection-pics.1071718/

Also, for what it's worth, if you do not use the antibiotics correctly then it's almost just as bad as not using it at all.
It needs to be given every 8 hours.
Were you injecting it or were you giving it orally?
Three times a day.
Vetrx is pretty much worthless.

I was injecting.. UPDATE: i took it to the vet it is on amoxyclave? And i have been told to do warm compress twice daily.. they were initially trying to charge me $500 and there is just no way… im so worried i will hurt it trying to clean its eye up. Any other suggestions for that?

Some eye infections are from respiratory diseases (mycoplasma or coryza.) Is there a bad odor from the face? Respiratory disease antibiotics can differ from general antibiotics. If you do not see improvement in the eye, and there are signs of sneeze or cough, gasping, nasal drainage, or wheezing, you may want to ask the vet for something to treat MG or coryza. Here is a video of removing pus from the area around the eye:

I know you want to save her but I hope you understand that some respiratory problems makes the bird a carrier for life and she will spread it to your flock. That being said, you'll need to remove the pus. Pus in a chicken isn't like pus with people. It's hard like cheese and needs to be removed.

Not too sure on the breed but with you mentioning a smell being present then it makes me think coryza. Again, I hope you understand that means she's a carrier for life and she will spread it to your other chickens (if she hasn't already). You'll need to treat her for the rest of her life and close your flock down. No new birds allowed in and no birds allowed to leave your flock.
