Chick hatched and is bleeding from where it absorbed the yolk

It was making a lot of noise. I checked and it was mostly our of the egg and was turned kinda funny. I could tell something was not right. Then I saw the blood. It was in the shell. I am very worried it is about to die. Is there anything I can do? It is where the yolk sac was and it has completely absorbed, just not sealed.

He is now just laying there. It is not pouring blood. It was not even attached to the shell, but there is blood in the bottom of the shell. I did have to help it pip this morning because it was starting to shrink wrap and I am thinking this is part of the problem.

Apply corn starch to bleeding site. Corn starch is a safe and effective substitute for styptic powder.

Well, I did not apply the cornstarch, but he is fine. I had to turn the computer off and run from a surprise storm. Luckily it was not very bad. When I got home, he was running around the incubator. It has sealed itself off. My Husband says I worry for nothing. I guess he is right.

I will remember the corn starch though. It might come in handy one day. Thanks!!!
