The chick has hatched!
At 6:50 p.m. it still hadn't gotten very far:

I took the photo and went outside to change the bedding in the dog crate for my ducklings, I was out there 15 minutes and came in to see the chick fully hatched LOL

It's Mamma is a BuffMinorca/SLW mix and it's Daddy is my Cuckoo Maran Roo
