We moved our little Brahma chick (approx 6-7 wks) out to the coop a couple of nights ago and I think it’s struggling to adjust. *We live in Alabama, so it’s plenty warm enough outside*

It was in the same brooder with the chicks that are already outside but we gave it a little extra time to feather out, so they know each other. I’ve seen some pecking (which I expected), but it doesn’t want to come down the ramp, go up the ramp, or come out into the yard with the rest of the chicks. It runs to me once I put it down and it sits on my chest, shoulder, or head and basically screams until it’s time to go to bed. It’s always been a bit nervous and it’s the only survivor out of 5 from that batch. I’m genuinely worried about it.

How much extra time?
Maybe two weeks? We had initially moved all of them out together (15 total) and when we did 2 other Brahmas from the same batch dropped dead. I panicked moved this one back inside. We brought our smallest silkie back in, too, so the Brahma would have company. The silkie has reintegrated just fine 🤷🏼‍♀️ But this baby just doesn’t seem to know how to chicken.
