Chick heater recommendations

It certainly does not. The description erroneously says it does. However, as the many comments on the reviews state and as a personal owner and user of one myself, it does not and I would never recommend that does, of course.
Just going by what the description says. No need to get all defensive about it.

I’ve used the Brinsea heating plates, and was happy with them, except for the small size and the legs on the larger model are a pain to adjust and feel a bit flimsy. They are also a little on the expensive side comparatively.

Biggest plus is I’m able to run them off a small inverter and my trucks battery for long transportation runs of several day old chicks... it’s a 17hr round trip to my breeder, I was picking up in November, and they won’t let you idle your vehicles on the ferry to keep the temperature up.

We loved the heat plate. It gave them the ability to get warm when they wanted and they learned the day/ night cycle. I'm ot running around but I'll get a post a photo of which one we bought. I got it on Amazon I think. I highly reccomend it.

Found it in my old amazon orders.

Sorry, but I just couldn’t stop laughing at this! I’m sure it helps keep them warmer, it just looks so silly! Now I want to make one for my plates...:lau

It does look silly but It's not to keep them warmer, it's too keep them from pooing on top of the heat plate, which they do a lot of. We're had to clean it several times once they started getting up on it.

Pretty sure she was talking about the "Comfort Feathers" and not the no roost cone. FWIW, I just cover my heat plate with Press N Seal. Pull it off when dirty and put some more back on.

Danger of doing BYC on my tiny phone. Right you are. Those feathers do look ridiculous!
:gig

I've heard about the press and seal. I imagine that works very well. Next bunch of chicks.
