Chick hurt. Help?

Hi again! Yes, my keet has a slipped tendon. And it does not want to stay in place. I'll be looking up more about it...but I may have to euthanize the keet.

The tendon would be on the outside of the joint on the outside, since that's the way it's pulling the foot. If you slowly straighten the leg...once you have the leg as extended as far as it will go...you'll feel the tendon slide IF it's a slipped tendon.

Leg bone deformities are common in poultry, especially in meat birds like cornish rocks. She also make have injured it, and could be in pain. Google or search for slipped tendon in a chick, and follow any suggestions for putting the tendon back in place. I have my doubts that anything could be done, but I hope you can help her. If not, I would put her down if she seems to be suffering.

X2 I agree with @Eggcessive It could be an injury, so investigate further, but to me the first thing that came to mind was a leg bone deformity. https://www.researchgate.net/public..._of_the_Intertarsal_Joint_in_Broiler_Chickens
