Chick injured? Posted pic graphic

Hi! How is she today? Looks like you are doing a great job!
She's still sleeping most of the day. I am worried about her making poops because she has a hard sac stuck to her. I'm wondering if I should soak her bottom in warm water and try to loosen it up. I need to figure out something to do for her I feel like she should be moving more and worried that she has not walked yet.

I'm trying so hard with her

Good news. I finally got up the nerve to let her soak in a warm bath. She loved it and I worked all that crust off her bottom and opened her vent. I am now waiting for her to dry under the heating lamp so I may feed her some egg yolks and water. Fingers crossed

How is your chicke today?
Same as yesterday. Still not doing much. I am feeding her a bit more and have her a chick chair to sit in so she can move her legs. She such a sweetie. She was born Tuesday 4/21 and is smaller than my day old chick just born. I hope I'm doing everything right. When I feed her she acts like she's choking so I only give her between 3 to 5 drops at a time. She had a poop today too so I was happy to see she is digesting the food. I will keep everyone up to date with her condition.

I am deeply saddend to say that she lost her life tonight. I noticed her gasping for air so I held her during her last minutes. She made a turn for the worst quickly. I am heartbroken and even though I am questioning everything I did for her I know I did everything I could. My husband helped me burry her in the flower garden and we came up with a name for her. Chloe. She is not suffering and in a better place. I am thankful I got to give her that shot at life when most would have not. I grow emotionally attached to each of my animals. I did not even have a week with her but I spent so much time with her. I appreciate all the support from everyone who has followed her short life. I am just so tore up right now. Thank you all!

Good job! I had some luck using some ground oatmeal with my messy butt chicks. They like it and the loose stools cleared up very quickly.

Posted and then saw your sad news. You did everything you could. I know it is hard but it is clear you did so much for little Chloe. Thank you for caring for her so much.
