So one of my 2 Silkie chicks jumped out of the brooder last night.
This chick is 6 weeks old. They slept on the floor all night and made one poop.
I woke up and did not sehim so i searched frantically to find him a sleep on the floor between the brooder and the wall!
I was afraid he was dead but i picked him up and he woke up.
I think he may have done this because last night was the first night that I turned off the lamp and maybe he didn't know where he was jumping.
Will he be okay?
He was walking fine and was happy to be with my other 8 week old chick again.
Also, how can I prevent this from happening again?

Thank you!

I don't know where you are so I have no idea what kind of weather you are having outside. I assume the brooder is inside and the ambient temperature is quite warm. I don't know if you have any heat on them or not.

That chick is 6 weeks old. Mine are not Silkies but I've had 5-1/2 week old chicks go through nights in the mid 20's F (-4 C) with no heat. Will that chick be OK? It is OK. You said so yourself. Trust what you see.

I don't know your situation or your plans so it is kind of hard to give too many suggestions. But if you don't want your chicks jumping out of the brooder, either move them someplace they can't jump out of or put a top on it.

I had no idea they could jump so high! I am a first timer.
I actually found an old window screen that fits perfectly!
Thanks for the answers!
It's a learning curve, we were all first timers once
At 3 wks my Heritage can get on a 5 ft roost with their mom
Had a poult fly up and over about 100 ft

100 ft!!! WOW! (Maybe 10'?)

I've had 2 week old chicks follow Mama to the roosts, a 3' flight followed by another 3' flight. But the OP's chick are Silkies, no flying, just jumping. But I've also had chicks just a couple of days old jump maybe 10" when following Mama. It's amazing what they can do when they want to.

The poult ran down the sidewalk flew to the top of a tree that was 30 ft tall and 70+ ft away from the sidewalk, outside of the poultry yard.
Poult is a baby turkey. They are better flyers than chickens, but since it had never flown it was a surprise to me. Calico turkey
