Chick keeps getting poop below vent

Hi guys! I have a 3 week old chick who had dried poop buildup stuck to the fuzz right below her vent. I managed to soak it in water but had to gingerly cut it off. Now that the fuzz is coming back, she is starting to catch some poo on the fuzz again! Anyone had this problem and any suggestions?

You can put veggie oil on the fuzz.

I am having this same problem! It's a PITA! One was having it building up close to the vent and warm water didn't help much. Don't want to pull it off and cause it to tear flesh.

Yeah my chick had that too! It's called pasty butt

We wiped it off, but like you said it just comes back. So we didn't have a perminate solution but it didn't last long, it went away as her feathers came in.
