Is Chick N’ Swell worth buying? I’m loving the way they have products for specific things and all in one place, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the buy or not? Anyone know any further information or have any experience with it?

I think it depends. Many of the items may be less expensive in other places, and I think some of them are totally a waste of money. The respiratory disease preventative is herbs and calcium is not necessary when you put out crushed oyster shell or use a layer feed. You can usually find electrolytes and vitamins in farm stores.

The only farm store around me carries all their products and has since replaced their vitamins and electrolytes with their product as far as I see. As I live in Canada, finding any sort of other supplement that aren’t entirely natural is next to impossible unfortunately. 🥹

Chickens usually do not need supplements if they are getting a complete balanced layer or all flock feed as the majority of their diet. Calcium citrate with vitamin D tablets for humans to treat egg binding are available in drug stores, and their layer feed contains the daily amount of calcium they need to lay eggs. I have crushed oyster shell and granite poultry grit available, and that is about all they need. Oregano, which is in one of those supplements is not needed. I think most of those things are just marketed to new chicken owners, and can be expensive. Many of the ingredients if you want to use those, are available cheaper if you look around. Occasionally you might need to worm your chickens, and SafeGuard or Panacur are very good. Natural products are not always affective. If you feel you need those products, though, I doubt if any are harmful.
