chick not feathering

Whew! Glad to hear it's normal. My beautiful EE has a bald back at 8 weeks. I thought maybe it was just a defect in this year's chicks from McMurray? I am waiting to see the feathers grow. You can't see the bald spot in the pic, just wanted to show her off!

Yeah, i have a chick like this. She is 5 1/2 weeks, yet has only wing feathers, some on her legs, and barelymany on her back. However, she is not showing any other signs of being a rooster, so it's all good.

My partridge rock rooster took forever to get tail feathers last year. The other roosters had gorgeous tails and he still had a fluffy butt. Didnt get real tail feathers until the weather started to get cold lol.
