Chick not right update i just culled,,, awful experience

this is how he sits. i splinted the legs but that is not his problem i don't think... one leg looks normal and the other looks " withered"

his eyes do not open all the way and it looks like he has a " fat head"
he is polish and was born 2 days ago

the other 5 are doin great and i still have 2 in the incubator waiting to hatch

warning.... the gas chamber method is NOT RECOMMENED
i must have not put enough in or the tub was too big......
i watched as he gasped for air for over a minute and when i couldn't take it anymore i put him in a bag and chopped his head off.... OH MY GOD>>>>
i can't stop shaking..... that was the hardest thing EVER>>>>> i feel soooo bad

Awe! I am so sorry you had to go through this. None of us like to have to cull, but sometimes its what you have to do. I have only had to do this once. Knock on wood! But it was a horrible experience. Thats when I decided that I would never have meat chickens, I just couldnt do it. RIP little fuzzy butt!
