I have never used a forum like this before but am really in need of help. I bought 14 chicks, all different varieties and all fresh hatchlings. I brought them home and noticed one had a slightly bloody nose. I thought maybe another chick pecked her as she was otherwise healthy. They all went to sleep together but this morning she was away from the group and her eyes seemed sealed shut. I used a warm cloth and was able to open them and put Vaseline in so they won't heal together. I separated her from the others and she is eating and drinking with help now. She does seem more spry, but my biggest concern is her feet! She seems to be hemorrhaging from the inside. See photos.... what could this be??!!

Wow I have never seen that.

@Martinkirsten88 can you tell us where the chicks came from? It could possibly be frostbite. If not, maybe bruising. But we had a post last year where chicks were delivered to a home by mail, and several chicks had frostbitten feet from shipping. The owner never had them outside, but after the first week, she noticed their feet were discolored.

That was my thought too initially as they came from -5C. I have had them inside and warm since but possibly during transport?
