Oh, yeah I've got a heat lamp. Its pretty far above them so I might be able to remove it during the day. I think we have coconut stuffs. Not sure which to give, or which to give first, coconut oil or the Growgel?You haven't said what your heat source is in your brooder. Are you sure the brooder is only three square feet? That wound be approximately three feet by one foot. Tiny space in a brooder with a heat lamp makes it impossible for chicks to cool down if they absorb too much heat. So heat exhaustion could be your chick's problem.
I had a chick that became constipated after eating too many meal worms. I confess to the stupidity of getting carried away when visitors stopped by and were being entertained by the meal worm pandemonium. A few hours later, my chick was lethargic and not moving around.
I gave it a half teaspoon of coconut oil and that helped the blockage clear so the chick could poop again.
