You'll have some one day, Katy, I promise! And probably a son of Gabriel, too, LOL.
Julie, it's hard to imagine Suede "filling out" anymore! He's the widest boy. And he loves to eat out of my hand-his head is so big! I'm glad I have him.
I also think it's so cute to see a two week old chick roosting. I've had them start at a week old on that bar sometimes. They are just the cutest things ever! That little girl flew to the edge of the brooder from the floor today, too.

AWWWW! They are so cute!! It makes me want chicks. I'm a fairly new chicken owner and I was afraid to try to raise chicks so I bought mine from someone that was getting rid of some of his. I don't think he took very good care of them b/c they've had worms, diarrhea, etc. I think the next time I get new chickens, I'm going to try out raising them from chicks. Is it hard to do? I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and they won't survive.

It sure is! I had Hawkeye in the pen with the chicks, ranging from 7-12 weeks old. He did the dragging-wing dance at his son, probably a preliminary "hey, kid, don't get any strange ideas about who's the main man around here", but treated all the others like little kids; it was so funny, the look on Gabriel's face! Gabe is huge compared to the rest of the youngsters, even the Ameraucana his own age. Won't be long and I'll have some of his babies around here.
