Yes, the air cell was accurate. I went ahead and chipped a bit of the air cell off (like in the article) to see what was happening. The veins looked absorbed but it was making that chewing motion with it's beak so I let it be. I woke up this morning and found that it had hatched into a little black silkie overnight! It's still drying off in the incubator with a couple of it's siblings. Thank you to everyone who pitched in, especially with the article! It was super helpful and I'm definitely going to use that info in the future!
