Hello everyone,
I have been keeping these two polish chicks at my apartment (yes, in my apartment, they were not supposed to stay with me.)
I dont know their ages as the breeder randomly gave them to me. (I will be adding their pictures.)
Younger one has been having clear liquid on its poop for a while now. She was a bit lethargic before due to the long and scary trip she had, I contacted a chicken feed, vitamin and mineral seller and they gave me a vitamin solution to add in their water.
It really did improve her general mood, she is no longer lethargic, her wings are not droppy she eats and drinks a lot. She plays with her friend, flies to my hand and is very active. She chirps very happy, and gets very excited to see me or her treats. But she still poops with clear liquid. But i also see her drink water occasionally unlike the austrolorp chick i had last year. Her feet feel colder than the bigger chick and she loves heating pads so I believe she isn’t over heating neither.

I clean their enclosure 3-4 times a day, change their water as often. Their feed is not medicated I believe and I use the highest quality of the feed. They have grit too. Their room is 30C but might be fluctuating up and down 1-2 degrees at times.

I am adding the ingredients of the vitamin solution below, it has English translation.

I will be adding her poop examples to the thread once I am back home.

Thank for reading and help!

Hello,

Thank you for the replies! Sorry I was too busy to check the website due to work!
I originally had 3 chicks with different size and ages but lost the youngest a week ago therefore I am overthinking a lot about my tiny babies 😅 Also read too many posts about chick diarrhea and losses that I was in panic mode, I am very attached to my chicks apparently!

Their poop consistency changes everyday, I assume I might have given them too much vitamins at first. And todays so hot that they drink water all the time. They are super energetic and eat very well, I hardly ever see youngest one taking a break from eating 😅

So they will be fine I guess! Although theyve been pooping and farting a lot today!
I assume this is also normal:

I would be more concerned with the paper used as bedding...mold, slippery and a million other reasons.

I use pine (Flake, not shavings) and prefer the deep litter method (just add more as it gets dirty). Shavings are too fine and can mess with their respiratory system.

Can get them super cheap, make TSC price match rural king and get a big bag for like $5

I agree. This bedding is not going to work. Your chicks need something to soak up all the moisture from the poop. Can we get a little more info about your set up? Maybe a few more pictures?
