Chick Post Pasty Butt bulging vent

My chick ( 1 week old or younger) had pasty butt. I cleaned it up last night but her vent was bulging out and it still is today. It's mostly above the vent where it bulges. Any ideas as to what happened? Is it prolapse? What do I do!?

sounds like it could possibly be a prolapse but I'd have to see it to confirm. can you please post a picture of the area so we can help and tell you for sure what it is and how to help. I think a picture would be very helpful.
