I have a 3 day old chick who is barely walking around. It’s mostly just sitting back on its butt with its little feet up. I’m worried. It’s not splayed leg or curled toes, it’s knee joints look a bit swollen compared to the other chicks. What do I do?

Can you post some photos of the chicks and swelling?
It may be slipped tendon (Perosis) which can be difficult to correct.

Sorry it took so long, I have two little kids, one is medically fragile and very needy.
Chick is kinda sleepy. But I got the pics I could
:hugs

When you feel the joint does it feel flat? Compare it to other chicks.
I would take a good guess it may be slipped tendon, but hard to know.

Sadly, a lot of leg issues are hard to correct if at all and the chick will require extra care - maybe even hand feeding/water every hour or so.

The lethargy is concerning, unfortunately the chick may not be strong enough to make and decline and need to be put out of their misery.

Quality of life and how much time you have to devote to the chick does needs to also be considered. This is not meant to be harsh at all. I've been there and have been unable to correct leg issues in tiny chicks and ended up putting them down. It can be very sad.
