Id give it another day .. or so .Some are lazy. .Well, I think I lost a chickChick #3 was scheduled to hatch yesterday and it's doing nothing. On day 20 it was moving around like crazy and now it's still, no sound, nothing... I think I messed up by opening the lid too much to help #2 hatch the other day. I'm so mad at myself. At what point do I remove it?? How long does everyone wait? How would I know for sure it's passed?
On a side note, Chick #1 and #2 are doing great and are all cute and fluffed up now![]()
If it goes on for longer than today I would give it a little boost. Tiny mashed egg yolk , couple crumbles of starter mixed and a pinch of sugar.... all mixed into a Lot of watertottaly normal mine was doing the same but as he fluffed up he got more active but wont walk or stand I gusse we wait a bit
The green and yellow is poo.It wilfall off andhe will be fineWell, my second egg hatched but the egg shell it came out of looks different than the first egg. The first one was clean, a few blood vessels (not messy), but the second egg has yucky green and yelow stuff in it and looks wet, like jelly. Does this mean anything? I wish I could post a picture of what I'm seeing. Is this normal? The chick seems fine, but his abdomen looks odd shaped.
@lowa
I agree with Roxanne, give it a day or two, don't give up yet. Good luckwhat breed are you raising?![]()
