Chick speaking inside egg, how long to hatch ?

@lowa
It's ok to be excited XD, I did my first hatch yesterday and I have good beginners luck!!! I love silkies and I bout two and the female started laying eggs and I incubated them, they were four but only two hatched :( BUT I MEAN TWO HATCHED :D there only a day old and I love them, I'm going to keep them as house pets :)

Good luck with the hatch next week

Well, I think I lost a chick:( Chick #3 was scheduled to hatch yesterday and it's doing nothing. On day 20 it was moving around like crazy and now it's still, no sound, nothing... I think I messed up by opening the lid too much to help #2 hatch the other day. I'm so mad at myself. At what point do I remove it?? How long does everyone wait? How would I know for sure it's passed?

On a side note, Chick #1 and #2 are doing great and are all cute and fluffed up now:)
Hold the egg against your ear and tap it with your fingernail. If the chick is alive it will respond by either chirping, tapping back or wiggling. If there is no response make a small hole above the air cell line, in the fat end of the egg. Take a wet Q-tip and carefully wipe the membrane covering the chick. If that doesn't get you a response... :-(

He's gone:( I don't know what happened. He was perfectly fine on day 20, I blame myself. Hopefully I'll gain wisdom from all of this.

Oh Iwoa so sorry for your loss, I always start crying on deaths :(

And coolmind, what seems to be wrong with the third chick? Not waking? Not eating?

Is he opening his eyes? And it's a miracle he survived if he had blood loss at hatch, how did he bleed?

Oh :( I'm not sure what to say, this was my first time hatching eggs and I'm not an expert or anything, maybe because of the blood loss it's a little weak
