Chick starter - mash or crumbles?

What do you guys prefer? I've tried both on my chicks and can't say that I prefer one over the other, and the birds don't either.

I prefer crumbles. Only because the mash seems to get wasted much more.

Around here, mash and crumbles are the same thing.

Crumbles/mash - ground up in small, bit size pieces
Pellets - in bigger cylindrical pieces

Chick Starter and Layer feed can be a crumble. Layer feed also comes in a pellet.

Unless the crumbles aren't very palatable I'll take them over mash.
