So I posted this on another forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/urgent-assisted-hatching-chick-is-out.1396902/

Basically the chick was late to hatch from the others, I pipped it, it was alive and then the next morning there was no movement and I opened the membrane.

The chick was alive and I took it out halfway and the shell is still on, in the incubator. It was breathing or moving not sure and it did open it’s eyes once. Is there anything I should do? Should I keep humidity high? Will it survive?

Help!

I have assisted a chick in hatching but not in a incubator. So im not sure what to do in this circumstance. I do understand it is nerve wracking. I actually saved my chick from a bad momma that was pecking the babies as they hatched. I held him in my hand close to my body while he hatched then moved him to the brooder to completely dry

I checked out the other post. I'll still need an updated pic to offer any decent assistance. For now though I think you should leave it in the incubater/ICU and pray she absorbs the yolk.. Future reference it is not abnormal for one to hatch a litle late.

To be straight I don't think your prognosis is good.. Keep her in the incubator. All you can really do is wait and hope she absorbs that yolk. I'm praying for you..
