Chick Toy Options

Hello! :) I will be brutally honest, I have raised hundreds of chicks and never got any toys for them. When I had lonely chicks I did use a small stuffed animal and a small mirror.
When they start getting little wing feathers you can get them things they can fly on and off of for practice, I did do that. I pretty much just used safe trash(no sharp edges or things they can pull off and eat!) so I could toss it when it got poopy. I prefer to raise them in a coop, if I use a small brooder I don't put anything in there. They need room to move around. Good luck with your chicks!!!! They are so much fun :D

Welcome to BYC, and good luck with your chicks. SPACE is of the utmost importance. Make their brooder far larger than you think they will need. Place branches, roosts, even rocks in their so that they have things to climb. Chicks do not use toys in the same way that mammals do.
Thank you so much for this it was really helpful!

No problem!! I'm glad we could offer our opinions to you. 😊 Chicks are a lot of fun when they're tiny, watching each one's little personality bloom is very rewarding.
I put my hands down on their level a lot, without reaching or grabbing to get them used to my hands. Hand feeding is a great bonding technique. I hope you have tons of fun with them! Post pictures when they arrive ❤❤😍
