A quick question, what kind of fruits and vegetable treats can these little girls have? I have plenty of apples and blue berries, but I want to make sure that they can have that sort of treat before I give it to them. So are apples and blueberries ok?

Ours love broccli and rose petals. When my mom lived on a farm as a kid they used to give the chickens the dish water! I guess it had lots of food bits and stuff

I think those would be fine. I give my girls heads of cabbage during the winter when nothing is available on the ground.

Apple seeds are toxic to birds, but only in VERY large amounts. I doubt your going to feed them hundreds of apple seeds....wait, are you?

Our girls get our over-ripe bananas. Today my son was here taking photos of my flower garden and I was taking off rose petals that were beyond their prime. Took them in and fed my chicks...they gobbled them up!

Yesterday when I picked the strawberries, I found some that had been chewed on by a bug or bird. I took these in to the girls. As soon as I opened the door they saw I had something in my hands then they saw that it was RED! When I held them up to the wire, they went crazy and I had to count my fingers to be sure they were all still attached!
